Liverpool will be hosting their biggest English football rival in the English Premier League Super Sunday fixture at the Anfield stadium on Sunday evening in what appears to be the biggest game of the weekend.
Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United will hope to return to action again in the Premier League this weekend and put the nightmares of a terrible and disappointing performance in the Champions League behind them as they travel to the Merseyside to battle against the Premier League leaders and table toppers Liverpool in a Super Sunday clash at Anfield stadium with the hope of denting Liverpool’s title hopes and improving their chances of finishing in the top four in the English Premier League by the end of May next year.
Unfortunately for Manchester United, the clash against Liverpool on Sunday seems to be a cagey affair as Manchester United will be without the services of nine (9) of their first team players due to various degrees of injuries and if the recent poor and disappointing performances are anything to go by, the Super Sunday clash against Liverpool will be very hard for Jose Mourinho’s men. Manchester United are in urgent need for a rapid improvement in their performances in the premier league as they are currently 8-points adrift of the top four teams in the English Premier League if they are to have any iota of hope of qualifying for the Champions League next season.
Jorgen Klopp’s Liverpool team on the other side are currently sitting in the first position on the Premier League table and enjoying a very impressive run of form as they were victorious in all of their Premier League matches last month. Liverpool boasts the best defense in the Premier League this season as they have only conceded only six goals while their opponent on Sunday has conceded twenty-six (26) goals. Jorgen Klopp’s Liverpool side also boasts of the second best attack in the premier league bettered by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side.
The only positive for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United ahead of Sunday evening is that Jose Mourinho has a record of never been defeated by Liverpool since he became Manchester United’s manager and Liverpool will be missing the services of two of their key defenders – Joel Matip and Joe Gomez who are injured while young right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold is still a doubt ahead of Sunday clash.
