The first leg of the Champion League fixture between Manchester United vs Juventus, saw Juventus take the win by 1-0 with Paulo Dybala scoring the only goal in the game. The victory over United enables Juventus to assume command of Group H.

The return match on Wednesday night was a beautiful display of football and entailing the United special trait of a miraculous late comeback from United. Snatching the needed 3points they require to stay in the competition.

The former Manchester United star, Christiano Ronaldo who failed to find the net against his former side in the first leg,  had another shot to score in the return leg and he promised not to celebrate if he scores against United. Well, promises are sometimes broken, as the Juventus star player broke the deadlock, giving Juventus the lead from a nice pinpoint cross from Bonucci and a marvellous finish from Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portugues player celebrated by showing off his abs and later waved in respect to the fans.

Manchester United comeback began, with a nicely curled in free-kick from Juan Mata who came in as a substitute into the match and the second was from a set piece taken by Ashley Young that got bundled into the Juventus net by Juventus defender Alex Sandro.

It was a perfect night for United fan, seeing their team win and watching their former wonder boy score a goal, increasing his goal tally.

Jose Mourinho in his special way stole the show from United as he cupped his ear after the match, taunting the Juventus players.

With Juventus clearly topping the group, Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho was determined to hang on to the second spot and he did, with United has a total of seven points (two points above Valencia).

Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho had this to say after the game “The game was a very good game, high-level game. We perform at a high level, after their goal we had like five minutes to wake up again but the team was there the first minute till the last.

In a beautiful Italian way they insult me for 90 minutes then I didn’t insult them, I just made a little thing. I know the millions of interest on that but I respect Juventus, their players, their manager, their quality, I’m really proud of my boys.

A couple of our boys they told in the interview at home that they were a little bit… yep. I work around this. We have to come and not feel inferior. Everyone knows their ambitions are different to ours, we need to go to the last second in the match, the situation was different. The boys started well with good control of the game and of course they are strong and of course, Cristiano can score that goal and the pass was from a central defender. It’s a big victory for us because it’s against a fantastic team with an amazing team like Juventus.

We thought we were going to have two finals to play now we have one. If we win that against Young Boys, if my maths is right we qualify with the victory over Young Boys. I hope we arrive on time, are not late, we had an amazing escort here, thanks to the Italian police. Let’s hope we arrive on time for Young Boys. “
